Eaton, saw one of your trucks on the highway on the way home tonight. I knew it wasn't you though, the color was wrong. Really glad to hear you're getting your truck back and will be working again soon. Those little paychecks don't go very far.

Otter, are you saying you've taken the route so much you can do it in your sleep? I'm literally finding out I can make mine in my sleep (not really sleep, just kind of that space between awake and asleep).

Pete, I bet you'd make a great story teller.

Rocks, I think we've all come to love finding out about the secluded places you find to stop.

 

Sioux City, picking up to go back to MSP, then load for Rapid City. Looks like I'll be working in the Mile High over the 4:20 holiday. I guess there won't be anyone in a hurry around there!

 

If I knew how to swim I'd jump off this slowly sinking ship.

A 40' gooseneck puller in our company hasn't done a company load yet this week. He is running on his own to take up the slack. Driver I talk to at the truckstop hasn't had a run in a week.

Driver for one company I MIGHT have jumped to said their dispatcher is going to go back to our company. And their owner is going to TRY and keep it going.

My question would be why in the heck would he come back to us?????

Few other drivers I talked to said they can't refuse anything (Like Port of Houston Manchester where I spent 2.25 hours today)

That run was worth the most of the 4 total I did today. If this week keeps up like this I may as well just go ahead and kill myself to save the air/food etc. I use,

 

well...it would be tough to teach an OLD dog ...errrr OTTER, new tricks...LOL, they dont want you to strain yourself....

Checked three places for parking tonight... didn't bother with the Flyin' PeeHook, since they're slammed after 8 or 9 PM. Ended up in the chicken house parkin' lot in Franklin KY.

 

Ironpony... this comment may belong to that other thread... but what the heck... I am lazy right now to go look for it... I think you would look pretty good with a cowboy hat... instead of a cap...

Dave, we've all seen the struggle you've had trying to keep going with this company, and you stick it out. Maybe it's time to see what else is out there. I believe I've asked you this before, but is there oilfield hotshot available close to you? Have you checked out the "Expedite" section of the forum?
