Yes... trip planning even more difficult...It's like trying to beat the odds with this thing...

According to my company, driver has to go to line 1 or 2 for 30 mins. Generally I show 4 mins for fuel and no more than 7... Most of the time I want to get the heck out of the truck stop after I fuel... specially those busy, congested Pilots...![]()
Where are you

That's right, so most of my lines 1 and 2 at customer will be my "mandatory" 30 mins break. Except on those days when I run 10 or 11 hrs almost non-stop... Will clarify that at log class tomorrow.
Well... but if you run on recap, you have no more than 8 hrs or so a day to work with, right? For me, that's very little...
-
well there is always a day a week i get stuck at a shipper or reciever to make up for those 10 hour days
but that is the reefer side
i imagine when i go dry van i will run harder then have to stop
we will just have to see
the weather last week on I80 had me with 29 hours of available driving after 28 days out when i got to the yard
but as i say next co might be different -
Yes... and my practice of parking at customers overnight before morning p/up will not work the same any more...
I will still have to park somewhere for 30 mins after I start my driving and wait...
Will see...
-
And you see... we don't get more hrs... our 11 / 14 / 70 are still the same. We just get less time to work with...
-
I love percentage, cents per mile sucks. I love percentage, cents per mile sucks...

Rolled in 18:10 again. More later after dinner.
-
I guess we will all need to be paid by hr or percentage instead of mileage. Cause eventually we will drive less... will have less available hrs to drive...
-
OK. Update. I freaking sat still from 10:30AM until 14:00 then moved about 1/4 mile and sat at SDV until I was finally loaded at 15:45
Called DHL. Talked to a nice lady. Fixed my resume and emailed it when I got home.
Hourly as opposed to load payed. If it works out at least the checks will be similar each week.
I may not have even made fuel money last week, and so far this week ain't looking any better.
And it is still UTTERLY strange to me but the dispatcher from Inner-Loop is coming back to Suzy's where he worked some time in the past. MAYBE it would make Suzy's better...
But that's not what I believe.
