never had the pleasure of riding one....my freind Mike bought one brand new but he wadded it before I could get my hands on it !!

I'm on a KTM 525XC at the moment might give vet open a try this summer at some local GNCC type stuff....been riding since the late 80's just never tried racing quads for some reason..

    Thats a nice quad.
I just flat track race mine, it and me are getting to old for them whoops and jumps. Just showing up at race with something older than most racers and most have never seen is priceless to see the look on there face.

No more mx for me for the same reason, age !! I love woods riding on a GNCC loop or just plain trail riding..

Most of the younger riders now have never even jetted a carb, if it doesn't have FI they won't buy..would love to see these guys try to dial in my Banshee with 2 carbs !!

As the old saying goes, The best way to make a small fortune in truckin' (and racing) is to start with a large one. LOL
I had a 250R at one time. Someone stroked the motor and it was a little badazz quad. I fliped it in a race and bent the frame and ripped the right side a arms off. I still have the motor and use it in the 500 frame on some in door short tracks.

Working on 2 stroke carbs is becoming a lost art. As fickle as the 500's I would pull my hair out on a built Banshee.

Here is a 4 year old pic after I got it back together that winter. The second pic is a buddy of mine 500 quad in Fla. Its a 500 engine in a LT250 frame. When he shows up at a race you best have your "A" game on. The third pic is me on the orange quad. The only time I have ever raced a 4 stroke and I was impressed after a shock and spring change, before that it was a warm turd. :biggrin_25518:
