Says a lot for the driver that stopped...Kudos to him!
Dublin, Ga...pick up a load early in the AM and head to Louisiana. Seems my nasty-gram to one of the upper management people is having its desired effect, at least so far. Even got an e-mail back...so we'll see if things shape up by the 22nd, my self-imposed deadline for some progress (sounds like the NFL talks!).
Where are you

Don't forget.... Dave1960 doesn't like contraptions that cool things. Suprised that he hasn't complained about the refrigerator running yet.

and on another note--if you are going to get a service truck involved--and it isn't a steer at least limp it to next off ramp--and get somewhere alittle out of traffic--so the poor guy doesn't have to worry about getting killed!
Just my $.02Giggles the Original Thanks this. -

According to our shop this place is the only place around and it is 22 miles away. I have 8 sheety dry rotted recaps with 77,000 on them so no limping this past the 4 full frowns in the next 5 miles
And its on the passenger side so no worry about getting hit

HOME!!!!!!!!, tired, sore, cranky, crabby, irritated and earning an extra day off because the semi has to go back in the shop for a steering vibration.

22 miles isn't nothing... I limped one from the KY scale house on I-24 to the TA in Mount Vernon, IL.
The Bears ain't gonna touch you.... It happens every day & they know. Just put your hazzards on, slow your speed down & limp that thing to a fricken shop. -

Remember folks...first blown tire...understandably cautious. I remember my first one...scared the bejesus outta me!
But anything you can do to lessen the risk associated with a road tech coming to your aid would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure. For example, I'll make sure to my best ability that I'm on a stretch where my rig is visible for as long a distance as possible, even it means moving it several miles. The more advance warning oncoming traffic has, the better.'olhand Thanks this. -
Badger Utility Madison, getting a trailer airbag replaced. The folks at the cafe in Darien didn't appreciate me today, I had the overlift up to go through that potholed lot when it let loose. BOOM! is an understatement.

Wonder how they would feel when you send em a bill for your tire-
