    If it's multi stops mileage and stop pay and detention after an hour like I run every day, I say go for it. 99% of the time I come back empty. If it’s truckload whse to whse junk, nope.

    Here’s my serious answer.

    Honestly, in winter months, especially permitted - the whole world is against you.

    The week or so I pulled van, the quick load/unload was a bonus.

    The loaded rates were ok, but my flat mentality had me deadheading too far to make it work.

    That, and flat lanes and rates and AGENTS had me clueless and floundering in Van world.

    And I had to give up my man card for a while. :)
