Took me a while to find it. Google map tartaglia and sons trucking in chambersburg. That vacant lot in the image is packed with JLGs now and only way in is commerce street which has a one way island to zig zag around to get to the gate which is at race street. However you need to make it off philadelphia ave onto west commerce which is impossible to take a right from 11south on a spread without using ALL of the lanes and its BUSY plus parked cars all over.
That wasnt my worst ever though. This bad boy is brutal. Trying to get down to spragg PA from the pittsburg area to a pipeline drop site on the WV border. 19 to 218 thru the center of waynesburg looks like good legal routing that saves a lot of time, until you need to make a right here, onto 218 south, morgan st.
Its the dang police department and the buildings are all smashed on all corners from foreign trucks going to the project. You need to use the entire sidewalks of the oncoming traffic sides to make this and its by an inch. Bumper to bumper busy. I soaked a shirt just by stress that day. NEVER go thru waynesburg. Take 79 to wv then 7west then back up 218. Its all billygoat but you can atleast make the turns. Waynesburg will make you look like austin powers on a golfcart in a hallway.
PA can be one tricky SOB. Thats why theres always good paying loads going there. Because theres an 11'9 underpass lurking on every other STAA route! You can keep it, your highest fuel tax in america and the crappy roads you dont spend it on PA!1951 ford, Lostkeys, Swine hauler and 9 others Thank this. -
Heres a super fun one i have to deliver stone to in cashiers NC.
Pull in forward to the garage up the hill, Then jacknife out into 3rd home richie traffic to leave. Theres a vertical rock ledge and deep ditch along 64 so you cant just back the trailer into the woods, it must fold and stay on the road or youll high center the trailer on the axle tube.
Theres pallets next to the house on the left, cars parked in the cubby to the right and a steep slope into a pond that you cant see over the hood on your right.. Strategically perfect anti-truck features thatd make a home depot landscape architect blush. And we do it at night after self unloading just so we can see traffic coming. The entrance road is over a 20ft culvert tube and the useable width at the bottleneck is about 13' wide tops. Not flat either, whole lot slopes off camber from the hill its on, so you can spin when jacknifing out too. I hate this place.1951 ford, 650cat425, PoleCrusher and 6 others Thank this. -
