Let's just say the rest of Canada doesn't have much nice to say about that province. I'm sure the folks there are nice but their government acts like a spoilt brat rich kid.

 

Just make sure u got chains on the truck if ya get out west of i35 from september til like may. Some states will right u a ticket if u dont have any , even if it aint snowing . Pricks

 

Give me a truck where the jake brake turns on without delay and the mountains is my favorite place to drive lol haven’t gotten the hang of the delay on my international, makes me feel like an amateur when I have to use my service brakes at all going downhill

 

I don’t have that code at the moment. I will get it again but it may be a few days or so. I don’t drive it much I’ve been trying to get it back in shape. It has sit a lot the last few years. It’s got a new fuel
Pump but that could be going bad again though. Well it’s been a while since it was put in. It starts and runs fine till it gets up to temperature. Then if you shut it off it’s hard to start and the cutting out going down the road just started. I cleared the code the other day and it ran good for just a little bit and then check engine light came back on. I’ve checked the new temp sensor thinking it could be bad but it checked good. I’m not real good at this stuff and I don’t have the money to pay someone to look at it. I do what I can and that’s about all I can do. I appreciate the help.

 

Do u have manual or auto? I never could figure out how to get the auto down the hill without the dang service breaks

 

Auto; this is the only truck I’ve driven that I can’t do it with, but it’s more user error, all I gotta do is time it right but a lot of times things come up real fast and makes it difficult to judge

 

Those pile of #### Intertrashionals have the worst engine brakes ever. Just thinking about the pos I used to run makes me irriated lol.

 

Growing up we had an early 90s GMC with a 350. Dang thing need a new distributor cap every spring. Don't know if they still used a distributor in '97 though.

 

If California just wasn't so commieficated. There is a lot of real beautiful country. Just sucks what the state has become over the last 3 or 4 decades.

 

Yea but they were barely adjustable, the ecm controls the timing for the most part.

But I still contend his issue is a short. My 98 would do exactly the same thing running down the road, and that was when it was only like 4yrs old.
