I would leave the mains alone. Those oil pumps are a gerotor design, and are prone at high miles to lose pressure. Any wear or grooves in the pump face or rotors will cause pressure loss. Pull the cover off the old pump and you will see...
Make sure you pour some oil and rotate the rotors before installing the pump so it isn't dry. New o ring on the pick up tube and you will be good.
Crank pully bolt is supposed to be replaced each time, I have reused it. They make a special installer for those balancers, I usually lightly tap it on untill the bolt will grab at least 3 threads. Lube it and use the old bolt to suck on the balancer.
Sounds like your on the right track.
If ya need any help/torque specs ask away.

Oh that’s no problem. Lol. I just need to keep this one going so not today. Lol. I put some lifters in a 3.8 a while back and my son was looking around asking questions and then went back in the house. I found out later he told his mom that it would never run again. . He’s 9 and doesn’t have much confidence in my abilities either.

It’s running also. And quite good I might say. Lol

I do have a question. What would be causing oil in the intake?

Answer #1 Peanut oil will work but might give a slight taste at first. For a kettle it is not as important to go very high heat oil because it should not get much over 212 degrees in the seasoning, as long as you are careful to not heat it dry.
Answer #2 Think about a pot of warm spiced rum in front of a bonfire in a quiet evening with the Girl.
Or how about a pot of hot chocolate (with or without rum) on the coffee table setting on a 3"trivet with a tea light candle underneath to share with the Girl?
By the way my S.O. suggests you rub the kettle vigorously 3 times while wishing for something special before starting the restoration (think I Dream of Jeannie)

Normal. Pcv system will deposit it there...
Thru little hose that goes to the valve cover.
Do you have a good 3 jaw puller for the balancer? There is 3 flats on the hub of the balancer for the legs to pull from.
Crank bolt is 24mm (almost like a 15/16") and real tight..

Appears I'm a little rusty on my locations up there.......

You can keep all that white #### though. We got a dusting here in the Smokies and that was enough.
