Been eating avocados for like more than 50 years. Long before the ad campaigns.

 

I do not eat salt water bugs or fresh/brackish water bugs either.

The sudden uptick in popularity is a fad. Which is why you see avocado everything, everywhere now. Where as 50 years ago...you didn't. Good marketing.

 

Is this the same fad as the beef commercials?

 

Back from the ride and got the bbq fired up with some steaks on the grill. If this magpie doesn't leave that's been crapping on my truck I'll be having a side of squab with my steak.

I was pointing out that your opinion is just that. And frankly, we get an over abundance of it ranging from who should live where and what is ok or not ok to support. It wears one down, perhaps less is more.

In other places on this planet it's called butter fruit and that is a good description of the texture. Low carb. High fiber. Good oils.
Tricky to buy ripe or to catch on the ripe day in your kitchen so it's kinda a PITA. But I think they're good.
