Agreed. He doesn't need to be going backwards. After all. He's already self identifying as a door slammer. :)

So I’ve found a bike id like to maybe buy but I’ve never been on a big motorcycle before plus it’s been years since I even been on a dirt bike. I got hit by a truck when I was younger and been a little hesitant about getting on the main roads anyway. So all that to ask this, how much of a learning curve is it to go from a small dirt bike to a big road bike?

I don't think it's bad, I went from not riding at all to riding for a couple hours every night in a week or so. Just got to go ride it.

Please define "backwards"... what may mean "backwards" to one may not mean the same to another... it all depends on what he is looking for, etc, etc, etc.... And sometimes, one must go thru something to figure out by themselves... we are all different.

Tempered glass is hard to break than most think. The point can bounce.

    Plate glass no problem.

Sure, I won't even touch financial. That is different to everyone.

He has shown his ability to learn, and adapt. He already has a higher skill set than the run of the mill dump truck driver. On top of running on a road crew you normally are told how and when you work, eat, sleep, and the other S for 12 to 14 hour days. Only half the year in some states.

I'm giving him a compliment, not tie anyones feathers in a knot.

Weight. I'll tell you my take just like anyone. Get back on a dirt bike. Size dont mater. Go slip and slide in some mud, stone, wet grass. Have some fun. Get comfortable. You will be fine on pavement.

Flint1, cke, blacklabel and 4 others Thank this.
