This is true. I do enjoy the conversation here. Such a diverse group of people with all kinds of experience. I'd rather ask a question here than use Google. I couldn't begin to list the things you guys have helped me with.

Old @Hurricane69 saved my bacon with a house hold toilet problem in a truckers forum. I never knew them made a overside wax ring.
I'm not much of a plumber. Thankful to this day.

 

I can and do get along with anyone till you start insulting me and then theres a problem. Idc what color, what country, or what politics someone is.

 

I pretty much do the same thing, cause sometimes it's fun to laugh at the simpletons, and occasionally there is a good discussion. Sometimes I will comment, but good lord some of those people get their panties in a wad with a quickness.

I stepped out of getting involved in certain types of conversations on the internet awhile ago, for the very reasons displayed in that other spot. There's a lack of ability in people to not be completely polarized in how they think, or speak to others. There isn't an actual discussion to be had because they aren't looking for one. All they're wanting to do is stand on the mountain top and shout their own ideology with zero challenge to it.

Now I've got one of those and know a wee bit about it- no way I'm getting involved in that.
I have enough trouble arguing with the voices in my head to go online and do it.
