My neighbor just gave me a really nice John Deere push mower, and I recently got the John Deere tractor. With two pieces of John Deere equipment am I a farmer now? I didn't think about it at the time, but I'm a bit concerned now.

Don’t know if you’re a farmer, but you probably should up your house insurance with that much green paint in the yard.jamespmack, CAXPT, MOBee and 3 others Thank this.

I can neither confirm or deny that these are going south on hwy 41 east of Medicine Hat. And I can’t drop the trailer if you are picking up what I am putting down.
There are 2 answers to your question - they have been around for a few years (ATS and Lonestar primarily but originally Totran).
As the blades have gotten bigger - strangely there have gotten heavier (mostly on the root end)
so it helps make weight and allows 3 axle (yes mostly freight spec) trucks do the loads.
they don’t work great and guys rip them up regularly. Plus you have to lift the #### thing when turning - if you don’t want to tear it up.
so I guess, I can say I have hot my head and am back doing the devils work (for a little while anyway).jamespmack, D.Tibbitt, beastr123 and 11 others Thank this. -

ron wouldn’t it be easier for ATS to simply run a single axle jeep behind the cascadia….?jamespmack, D.Tibbitt, pete781693 and 5 others Thank this.
-
not really for 2 reasons.
1 the jeep will make the already tall load even taller (some of the blade trucks on this job are 15’ 7” tall)
2 more importantly is that it is very difficult to back with a single axle jeep. Hauling blades we will often have to make several stabs to get around tight corners. This is where I go as far into the corner as I can then back up while the steerman moves the blade tip or axles to avoid an obstacle and then pull up again. Repeat as many times as necessary
so jeeps create as many problems as they solvejamespmack, D.Tibbitt, pete781693 and 14 others Thank this. -
