I’m thinking about moving the glad hands to a bracket I’ll make and attach it near landing gear and move the truck air lines through the frame to the rear. I’m tired of tripping over the air lines on the cat walk.
Has anyone done this and regrets it? I’ll leave the glad hands on the front and will get new ones with a valve so any truck could move the trailer. Wondering if DOT will have an issue with it.cke, blairandgretchen, CAXPT and 5 others Thank this. -
Seen it several times and considered it myself. The ones I've seen the light cord and air lines stayed attached to the trailer.
My biggest worry would be snow or ice accumulating on the lines and pulling them down. I've made lots of service calls for slider lines that got heavy with ice and drug the ground

Not exactly apples to apples but all trucks with a pintle attach the airlines like that.
