Leaving the Telluride airport and suffering from lack of oxygen - I forgot to re-pin the extendable step.

Right before the first turn noticed it so had to jam on the brakes - trailer slid out to the stops - stalled the truck. Closed back up and left.

Almost 500 miles later - an O/O hollers out for the step headed east. “No trailer lights!”

It had pulled the plug in the basket, thankfully easy fix - front and side were working, so I hadn’t noticed.

Point of the story - and I did some research on the skip - these base station and ham a-holes are actively ruining the use of the CB. Not one truck that I passed all day and into the night - said a thing.

Most time CB’s come up in conversation - most have them turned off lately - can’t wait for the phase to be ov er, but it might be too late.

I recognize that scenery!

Got home Sunday evening. Gonna take the week off, but it's time for another oil change.

75k miles since the overhaul. Running Mobil full synthetic since startup and hasn't used a drop of oil since about 35k.
