Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

Hard hats, PPE, steel toe boots, long sleeve shirts…where does it end? LEO, firefighters, military personnel…none of them allow long hair, not even for GI Jane. They even discriminate and fat shame the people who can’t do pull ups.

Maybe if his hair is deeply tied to his sprit
Maybe if his hair is so deeply tied to his spiritually and moral beliefs he should find another job. This would be true no matter what color his skin is. It's a safety thing, also the company should be able to hire and fire who ever they see the need to. But the lawyer will turn it into a black and white thing. -
In Portland and Seattle we have to have long sleeves and tucked in shirts to load. Hauling chemicals we also had to be clean shaven. Just part of the job

His statement sucks. “They pretty much told me I needed a buzz cut” - then “my spiritual blah de blah”. White guys have dreads too.
If TMC were smarter, they’d just hand him a hard hat and tell him to put it on. If the hat fits, you must acquit.
I don’t see why he couldn’t adjust a hard hat to fit, even with aid of a chin strap.
Running off to a lawyer - go fck yourself. That would be like me demanding I wear a kilt on the job, or even more recently immigration wise, demanding every truck stop I parked at had an area to cook my evening hangi in, complete with baskets and shovels.
Just assimilate. Please. Just have some respect for the country you came to. And if you were born here and your parents weren’t - then celebrate that in your own way , in your own time. Don’t try to turn everything into an issue.
