On the hunt for a cab rivet tool that isn't going to cost me $2,500. Any of you folks know of a cheaper unit? I don't even care if its hand operated.

There's a place an hour from me that rents them but depending on the rates and that I'd need it 2 or 3 weekends it might just be easier to fork out the $2,500.

 

Amazon. Reliable Air. Not the best quality, but with encouraging profanity it will get the job done.

 

That was the $2,500 unit I was looking at.

I see Reliable also makes a cordless electric one with the same adapters for $1,700. I think I'd rather go with air though. Knowing my luck it'll sit on the shelf after I'm done this cab and when I'll need it again 5 years down the road the battery will be toast and there won't be a replacement available.

 

How bad is the exchange rate in canukian dollars? I'm seeing $395 for battery and the 640 air gun is only $495.

I’ve preached to drivers for many years about trusting pilot cars. Driver gets the ticket. The pilot cars are on holiday…they don’t have skin in the game.
