When I was a kid it was a big deal to me to walk up to the drivers only counter and sit down. I never give alot of thought to my presence maybe changing the conversation for that particular moment lol

 

In 2004 when I got here, I thought it was kinda cool - I guess when truck stops were for truck drivers, primarily.

Not the travel centers they are now.

Nothing better then getting unloaded on a Sunday.. the guy even helped me fold my tarps and roll my straps . Nice to know there is still some good people in the world.. camped out in the new mexico . Not much better then the old one

 

Plug in your address that you are going to and it finds you a parking place. May or may not be another truck stop. Some of the parking is theirs and they have brought in showers etc. Fairly priced most of the time sometimes around the bigger cities it can be steep. We use them a lot on our Atlanta and New Jersey run.
