They’re not too bad - if the price was about half what it was. At least you can get a sense of how fresh it is, and it’s a quick grab and go meal.

Hopefully they don’t go by the wayside.

 

That is why I try to throw em a couple bucks every once in awhile.. most of the Petros out west seem to be the last good truckstops anymore

 

I think I mentioned it somewhere along the way, but one of the best pork chops I ever had was from a Petro fuel island somewhere in AR. Had myself all hyped up for a rotisserie chicken last time I was at Little America, but they were sold out.

 

You and me both . I have tried to cook pork chops at home and as good a cook as I am they don't taste even close to Petros.. idk what they put in those things but if I was on death row I'd order the pork chops for my last supper

 

Well, you might not be wrong. I mentioned the hospice thing and then he changed tactics about surgery. Now I was probably duped also, but no harm in wishing good luck, etc....but my thought was they are in a small town and maybe were already resigned to hospice care being the last step, and then someone on here piped up about how their oxygen level rebounded, and the argument could be made they decided to take the patient to M.D Anderson as a Hail Mary...nothing ventured, nothing gained kind of attitude at that point...but I think because I made the suggestion there was hope, and then he came back with not sure what he said that gave me the thought there was anything else that could be done...and.....well, maybe they decided to extend the hoax....or actually made a last ditch effort to try. Not sure.
I know that I had started looking around to see if there was a way to verify and started looking at Rogers,TX area (an area he had mentioned his route started at) and was researching trucking companies.....the churches, since that seemed to be a major life focus and I came up with only one company that hauls out of Rogers, TX, and one church...and there was no Pastor Paul, so even the moniker couldn't be justified, on it's surface anyway.
That's the problem as you mention, that unless you have access and can backtrace IP addresses to locations, there's no way to verify anything on the forums/internet without that capability, so as you say, would like to be wrong, but if not, no skin off my nose. I don't send money to anonymous sob stories, so if that was the goal, then they'd have wasted their time. If it was to practice their story telling to write short stories, or cultivate characters...oh well. Who knows. Just glad that if it was a scam, that you did call it out, and I'm with you, that is low to play that game, that's the kind of thing you expect from molesters.
