Not sure if these ones were original or not. Would have looked good in my soon to be freshly landscaped front yard lol.

I worked at an auto electrician place 35 years ago in NZ and there were still a lot of 1960 - 1970 English cars on the road. I never fully understood electrical systems and still struggle, but I remember many of the vehicles had 6V systems and a generator, that were converted later to 12V systems - with an alternator, and ballast resistors, coils, points and condensers were all involved. I learned enough to be dangerous.
My first car was a Mini, Austin or maybe British Motor Company (BMC) - they had an east west mounted 850cc ,1000cc or (SPPPEEED RACER) 1275 cc engines where the distributor was faced toward the front of the car. With a missing rain guard on them, you'd find them on the side of the road when it rained. A hero was the guy with a can of CRC 556 or WD40 that opened the hood, popped the dizzy cap, sprayed and wiped, started it up, and retrieved the young lasses phone number with a wink.
I could fit a full size 5 piece drum kit in that little shoebox on wheels.Sons Hero, singlescrewshaker, Friend and 17 others Thank this. -

Can’t remember the name, but there is a school in Ohio that has some of the originals from the J.I Case plant after it shut down. Seems in my mind they painted them black and purple to match their school colors…..singlescrewshaker, D.Tibbitt, 1951 ford and 10 others Thank this. -
