these work excellent for diesel fuel, I don’t think coolant would be any different. The Drummond ones from Arbor freight are the only ones I have found at work well though. I tried some other really offbrand ones, and they’re not worth the material they’re made of. it fits in a standard drill.

A cut down mineral lick tub with some holes drilled for rope handles makes a good dual duty receptacle too.

 

Using 5 gallon buckets I get one them clear siphon hoses with the check ball in it you just wiggle and they start. I set my bucket up there and give her a jerk

 

I do the same thing. Only thing I can add to it is I strain everything through a 25 micron bucket strainer first to make sure I don't accidentally put any junk in the system.
