    Thats were my estimate is for the year 3.54 driveway to driveway. But haven't finalized books yet. If no load Sunday or Monday I guess its time to sit down and do paperwork for the year.

    You mean a 1-1/4 gear drive pump, like the pacer pumps had? Them things had some flow.

    Yes that's the weak link when running high fuel pressure on a Cummins. When the lobes on the cam start pitting its to late.

    I'm running 220 injectors instead of stock 176 injectors, my pump is just a little over stock pressure..... no need for high pressure if you have the volume;). I have dual fuel lines to the injectors, line to rear head and line to front head. N14 525hp turbo with air to air. Yea it smokes when it's cold, but looks good when warm lol.

    The pump I took off was set to CPL 586.... which is a 475hp engine. Plus it was cranked 100% with 1 1/4" pump and oversized throttle shaft. Also has a 1/4" pressure port versus a 1/8" port. KT governor assembly with big springs.
    She would flat roll on with that setup.

    That’s awesome $ right there.

    @jamespmack - $3.54 is great stuff.

    I was getting myself all chuffed at 3 and a quarter all miles this year - but apparently I’ve got room for improvement.

    That might be correct. Haven worked on one since 2003 maybe. Kinda want one now. Dad for not being a mechanic sure as hell new how to make one run and last. I could have learned more from him. At the time I didn't really care about antique engines. But what the heck my detroit is almost antique by todays standard.

    Well..... been out clothes shopping this evening. Wife and I along with my family members are heading to Florida in about a week. Guess I'm getting on a whirlybird in Lexington and flying down, never been on one of those rattle traps before. Getting on a big boat down there, Royal Caribbean?? Or something like that. Really sucks they say I can't bring my side iron or a fishing rod!!:(:confused: Never did learn how to swim.... so I hope that big turd doesn't act like the Titanic! All this formal dress up stuff got me so confused I can't even remember where I pee'd last.:(

    That's where people go wrong on a CAT they go to turning rack screws out and justify it with a decent pyro temp. Then they get a skip that a plunger or nozzle wont cure. If you look in the offending hole you will see teeth Mark's on the rack bar. Time for a pump cam at that point. They are more than the rest of it put together so it's best to buy a good core and build it. 3 out is all I'm real crazy about
