    Parked across the street from my yard this morning. Was a long haired Chinese fella. Told me and very broken English that he need the trailer fixed. I gave him the phone number name and address of the nearest place that might be able to fix that. He was parked in front of my buddies diesel shop, he told my buddy the same thing when he showed up a couple minutes ago. My buddy said I’ll give you the address of the nearest scrap yard. I think he might Be right.

    @johndeere4020 Trying to wipe dust off my memory bank, I don’t have my book with me so...... if memory serves with a 48’ trailer with total 7’ overhand (front / rear) I would need a permit correct? I need to find my book.

    4’ on back and 3’ over the front

    What states, and what is your overall length with a 48’ trailer bud - I run flat extendable.

    @OLDSKOOLERnWV - that’s what I got.

    OH - they don’t care - 53 trailer AND LOAD.

    WV - measure the axle as stated and proceed.

    Flag overhang and roll - would be my bet.

    @OLDSKOOLERnWV - for front overhang -

    I put a nail in the deck on top of the kingpin. Piece of string to a point 2’ off the front left (or right) corner of the deck.

    Then swing it around to emulate the load swinging by the headache rack.

    Play with it a bit and you’ll get an idea of where you’re comfortable on overhang.

    Down right hilarious there. Love to be a fly on the dash for the day as that poor soul navigates the rest of his day.
