I moved into the territory of “only paying for my polish installed” - they ran short of daylight.
Those trailer wheels need sanded.OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman, Tug Toy and 19 others Thank this. -
Pretty good. Not as cosmetically appealing as I would like but theres no new cracking or anything.
I think it would look better if I had cut the aluminum square and trimmed the hood to fit instead of making the aluminum fit the shape of the cracked part of the hood.
One of these days when I feel like dumping a couple grand I'll order a new hood.Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman and 21 others Thank this. -
Ya it don't make sense .
We always got screwed in Arizona on the triples.
They would only allow 52,860 or some crap like that.
It was always a pain to get into long beach or port hueneme.Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman and 16 others Thank this. -
Agreed. This truck came with 24.5 LP on it, that’s the way it’ll stay. I have to order them in advance - no problem, and I don’t get much casing credit.
And I don’t care. I run virgin , swap em out at 6/32nds. I’ve never had a blowout or flat. Centramatics and balance all positions. Run 115 PSI and check them regularly.
The LCAPP discount is pretty good - so I run decent brands, no mix and match on drives. The trailers are 22.5, so I don’t get to ‘run out’ steers or drives.
LS has a maintenance escrow I’ve set at 3% - I use it for tire purchase. There’s always enough in there to reshoe the whole rig.
I watch guys mess around changing their own tires. More credit to ‘em. Swap positions, carry tire change equipment on the road. I don’t even carry a spare.
Maybe I’ve been lucky - maybe the way I do it works. So far anyhow.
Probably just jinxed myself - is that a leaking tire I hear?Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, beastr123 and 25 others Thank this. -
Strangely enough - when I went back to NZ recently, I didn’t think about it, and used the normal “Ma’am and Sir” when addressing.
I can pull it off being over 40 - but it’s generally viewed as sarcastic or snide over there.
Weird country.
I had to quit saying ‘Eh’ when I got here - was accused of being Canuck.Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, SL3406 and 22 others Thank this. -
Look at it as inspiration - I never called BS or felt jealous. It pricked my ears and opened my eyes and gave me a path to find.
You’ll do it too.Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman and 21 others Thank this. -
There's worse to be accused of!Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, beastr123 and 18 others Thank this.

In a Sublime song too - hah!Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman and 15 others Thank this.

Hah! Caught up!
This week has been weird. Started out great with a Sunday depart, Monday load and Tuesday morning straight through deliver.
Then 2 days of looking at junk on the board, whilst half the country froze.
400 mile dead head on Wednesday night for a “Oh - not ready till Friday “ cheap load (taking a legal load for the team) - NC to KS.
The time down gave me time to organize a biggie for Wednesday - 16’8” wide. Classed as a super load, it’ll be my first. Nervous, but if I don’t try, I won’t know. I think I got the pricing right - unknown is the state police charges.
Thanks to @catalinaflyer for time out of the day for a few questions.
Headed to the house, pick up the Rambo tarp, deliver Monday, and bounce up there for loading and Tons Of Fun.Zeviander, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Feedman and 24 others Thank this.
