That's the way we went back in the old days before I-68 was built. US 40-48,was the truck road from Hancock,Md,through Cumberland,then US 40 to Uniontown,Pa. All 2 lane with some passing lanes,lottttts of up and downs,pita in the winter. Before they cut that big notch out of Sideling hill,it was one lane up to the top,and a 180 switchback,then down the other side.
