It is funny you mention this, I look to you and a few others for insight.

I don't comment here much because I am just a guy with a truck not a trucker. My posts seem to be out of context for most of the discussion, not many replies generally. I build stuff and solving problems is half or more of making something work. I have often though of commenting on a particular issue only to think, my view would go over like a turd in the punch bowl.

You folks with millions of miles operating trucks have far more exposure to what can and does happen to stuff. My humble ideas are just sound engineering, I thought this idea out in 2 minutes, it just makes sense and is common repair strategy used over and over.

Millions of miles , yes - but still new to this game.

Some things I do well - other things, I have little idea. Put all of us in a pot, stir, and produce answers - to everything.

Turds in punch bowls are where it's at around here. Without that we're left with which companies do hair follicle testing and top secret pharmaceutical 52 ft coils.

There's an old long been closed garage in Hugo, CO that has a big sign on the side says "we fix everything from daybreak to heartbreak".

I could bring the truck over to ya or borrow it for a day to check it out.

 

@wore out you happen to know anyone with a sand blaster thatd do some wheels for a feller for a good price. Rock hard wants way more than I'm willing to spend because I dont need him to powder coat them
