I know it's difficult to do - thing is, you GOTTA. Else it's your livelihood and life.

The headache - might be caused if you've shut off usual sugar or caffeine intake. Your body will hate you for it. Don't eat less - just eat better.

When She and I teamed, we'd pack the cooler with a head of lettuce, tomatoes, celery - all salad stuff, dump cans of tuna and salmon on it, pine nuts - walnuts, cheese - just anything to make it tasty. Oil or vinaigrette dressings. Takes a bit of fooling about to fix - and you'll need a hunk of cooked meat every day or two to keep sane, but it works.

Having a beer in honour of my grandfather. He passed away peacefully in the early hours yesterday morning. One of the last true "old school" truckers. One hell of a good man. Amazing sense of humour and instantly likeable. I'm sad but at the same time I know he's in a better place. Alzheimer's is a horrible disease.

 

Awesome!! Those pictures are priceless..... probably early 40’s or later looking at the top picture? The grill on that Ford is a tell tale sign.....

 

Truly sorry buddy!! Your memories will always keep him close at heart. Never had a true grandfather, I hear others speak of theirs and wonder what I may have missed out on..... doing my best to be a good grandfather without a blueprint.

 

I have an appreciation for what your sharing.....

 

If he were computer literate he'd have fit in perfect here. Loved old iron and old tractors. I think he was even a fire chief at one time.
