If your A/C unit hasn’t been updated, you most likely have R22 Freon which is being phased out. Naturally, the prices are getting ridiculous, up to $400 for a 25 lb container. There is a company called DuraCool in Canada that sells replacement freon. I heard their R12 works well, (ahem) so I saw what they have as an R22 replacement for my 5 ton.

It turns out they have several, including A/C 77 which is R22 compatible and runs at lower pressure than R22. It was ordered from Canada on Monday and arrived today at my house for $179 for 25 lbs. That should recharge this house twice.

BEEN THERE. Is that just like the "the brakes just started making noise". Caliper pistons wearing on the vents of the rotors? One machined face missing?

He's super good at check grabbing. I thought I was the king. Apparently not. Great food up that way too.

@Ruthless is a top bloke. When I first met him I had limited experience in the O/O world. I nodded and listened. The second visit, given some time in the industry I could actually converse with him. Sharp character.

Next week - I swear I'll be a man again. Just let me shake off this van first.

Actually played that and sang along - I like a good word change song parody. And not much on the country.

Story of my last 2 days - probably home by now if the shipper and receiver worked more than an 8 hour day in a 24/7 industry.

Ummm - Have a thing for little people ? :) (Shocked nobody else caught that one)

You're verifiably Nucking Futs. I have no idea where that one went. But - been a long day.

Ummmm - so how does the revenue work out on that seal? I've heard some horror stories.

Night y'all - slam a door in Pevely, MO tomorrow, and due to the lack of van freight in a 200 mile radius in the starfish goldfish bowl (Like 4 loads, STL to Joplin radius - at ANY rate), bounce home.

Cast this off as a good humbling experience, and continue to ponder how van guys at LS make it - and watch the news for more HVH stories. Hate to see folks out of a job, but the correction is coming.
