Where, OH, Where........

I'm out of the snow now and just received tomorrows preplan from Eagan, MN to Marietta, OK. The egit night dispatcher said it might change though since it doesn't pickup until 14:00 tomorrow. D.A., My current load doesn't deliver until 11:00 so I don't know what the logic is in that.

How's 80 look across ohio to iowa? Thinking I'm headed that way from newport news, va to des moines. Its shorter than 64 to 65 to 74 to 80. Ill make my decision after I see the weight on the load.

 

Haven't been that far east in a few but I don't think there's any snow from OH to IA. I hear the weekend tornados turned over some trailers at the Chicago yard and causes several rollovers though.

 

Thanks for the info. I figured time wise it'll be faster going up to pa then across 80. Those hills suck on 64. Lol.

Yea.I went thru the tornado path two days before the storms.

 

Hit a nice little ice storm yesterday in Iowa. Leaving Minneapolis today, hopefully outrunning the snow they say is coming here. Drive safe.

I just came across I80 westbound from south of Detroit a couple hours ago. The weather is nice; the cold has gone and the new cold hasn't gotten here yet.

 

The weather is never really the issue. The problem is mostly the 4 wheelers that do crazy stuff like try to accelerate to get past you and end up spinning out of control. Driving in snow is mostly a mental drain from watching and anticipating what the idiots are going to do. I often wonder how some people survived to adult hood.

 

Well I made breezewood. 900 more miles to go. Wish me luck around the 4 wheelers lol

 

Just got loaded and headed to Marietta, OK. 900 miles and delivers tomorrow.
