Pushed to make it on time. Then find out USA didn't set up a delivery appt. Or can't find the correct delivery number..Travel agent sends email to acct manager who doesn't come in for a couple more hours while the truck sits and waits.

 

Interesting convo with one of our new drivers this afternoon. Told me he had been with USA for 60 days now, but that he has driven 30+ years. I helped him slide his tandems, then he opened his yap. Started telling me about living in Miami and how he had ties to the Cuban Mafia. (Uh-huh), then proceeded to tell me that the "ringleader" told him that he would always have his back. Then he told me this ringleaders name. Ricky Ricardo. I almost couldn't hold my laughter in. Where does USA keep picking up these jokers? He then started telling me about how he decides when and where he goes and how he cussed out his FM all the time. Lol. Sure.

 

Ricky must have crossed over on the same boat as Gilligan...

 

Sitting at my final in Indianapolis on a load out or Fort Morgan, CO and preplanned on a short crap load to Coldwater, MI then a reload to Laredo and a load home from there since I've been out 5 weeks now. Gotta get home before Santa gets there.

FJ usually has plenty of taped off non-working fuel Islands you can park in. I was at the FJ in Wichita Falls, TX last week and all of the pumps were closed.

 

Closed because drivers parked there, put the hose in the tank to make it look like they were fueling, then went to bed. Got up in the am, forgot to take the hose out and drove away... yep I got it. Makes sense to me...
