I got.my truck.on april 1 (imagine that) all the trucks coming in now will have the elog installed. my 10 were the first. They think they have decided which system to go with. QC 50 series. I think 3551 was the lowest number in the 10 for my class. Like I said before the first drivers getting them once they decide what system will probably be yhose with constant logging issues and drivers being upgraded into new trucks. They probably won't retrofit the sub 3xxx trucks. But that's just a guess. I wouldn't. But then I don't run the company.

HOS changes. You must take a 30 min break within the first 8 hours. You can use only 1 34 hour restart in a 168 hour period, restarts must include 2 periods of 1 am to 5 am. That's the new rules in a nutshell.

Traileritisville. Drop/hook where the hook had lighting wires hanging out of it. Who in their right mind would use this trailer then leave it for someone else? I called at 5 AM eastern. No help yet. USA is disappointing today.

Why do you need road service for that? Take it to TA/Petro. You dont need breakdowns permission.

You can take it there but you do need breakdown to approve it before TA will even look at it. If you haven't notified breakdown first then it won't get approved until you do. Usually it gets done ther but they might have you go somewhere else.

Yep, 0500 is 0400 their time. Only 1 person there and he/she is probably standing outside the door with the 1 dispatch person smoking a cigerette before dayshift starts to wonder in. Be sure to resend your message after 0530 central because nothing get communicated between shifts. It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

Liverpool NY Pilot. 3rd time here in a month. Home sweet home. The Beatles ain't here though.

Trailers...... I call in every other one I use (just about). Yesterday had the freaker rewired on top. I have a similar problem with this one today. USA is undecided how to address it. Waiting on the decision. Last week I had one have its brakes lock up. Another.... the tandom locking pin lever broke. Can't work with this junk. Drivers are not stepping up and taking care of business. Disappointing.

    Thomas0810 Thanks this.

I agree, but I'm glad you are fixing them all. That's one less for me to get fixed. I'm on my third problem trailer this week too. Brake canister on one, peeling retread on second, leaking oil seal on this one. But I'll fix this one as soon as I get someplace that has the part. You can tell its been leaking for awhile. Oil and dirt 1/r in thick in the hub. No oil left in it. Put some in and it comes out as you go. Glad I keep a big jug of hub oil handy.
