Ill second dg on that. I've only been asked to swap out to get someone home. It has happened on 1000 mile+ and sub 600 mile runs. Or the famous "drop it at xxxx I don't want you going all the way there" uggg.... lol

Well, fuel pump confirmed. Stuck here until sometime next week. Only hotel around is expensive, USA is balking and looking for other alternatives.
If I have to change trucks it will be the 5th truck this year. Where have they been getting these junkers? Manufactures marketplace? Where they sell "blemished" goods.
Give me back my old prostar with 600k miles on it and a cummins anyday and take these piece of junk freightliners where they belong... the dump.

But will the prostars have a cummins or a maxi-pad engine.
A taller bunk would help, but the problems are with the engines on the freightshakers.

that stinks, during my 6 year tenure here this is the one and only thing I dislike about the company. When a driver breaks down like you it seems we are left to fend for ourselves.Their really is no good support system in place as far as getting rooms etc etc.It takes more time than is necessary just to approve you for a nights stay and God forbid you need multiple nights. Also we all know you cant take all your belongings from one truck to the next ,then its a hassle to get you back to the original truck to get the rest of your stuff.I don't know what the solution is but the one they have been using since I been here sucks lol

But alas, patience is a virtue. Things worked out real well. Not going to spill the beans until its all said and done with. But I'm happy with the outcome so far. Gonna wait for my truck which is ok after all the other work I've had done to it already at least I know what has been fixed so far.
I will say I'm headed to a cheaper hotel.
