In February I'll have 2 years experience with one company.
I'm your traditional dry van trucker that runs the Western half of the US, with no tickets and no DOT violations.
Reasons I'm leaving: The company I'm currently with gave me the choice of having Thanksgiving off or Christmas, I chose Christmas and they didn't have a load out of Wisconsin (after I did them a favor to get there) and I sat for 5 days! They didn't get me home until New Year's Eve. They've lost a boatload of distributors over the past year and now that my truck is in the shop, they're not putting me up in a hotel, but they're sticking me in another truck at a yard to sleep in. I wanted to wait until I moved to Eastern Pennsylvania until I changed companies, but things seem to be falling apart at all incredible rate at Ashley PNW, so I'd like some recommendations of quality companies that accept pets. Thank you.

I read your previous post, and am appalled at what has become, but nothing new really. Bosses have always jumped over a dollar to get a dime. I think we will see more of this as a motel is at least $100 bucks, and companies running on a shoestring, cut where ever they can. This should be a required reading for anyone considering trucking, not some rosy scenario a recruiter may try and shmooze someone with. This is trucking. I'd ask if I could stay in my own truck, it's probably up against a fence anyway. Repair shop may have an issue with that, however. On the whole, doesn't look too good, and a wise choice to do something else. Chinatown will be along soon to help, it's important to say, where you live, type of trucking and so on. He posts so many good jobs, jobs you are more than qualified for, there's really no reason to put up with a shabby company. Good luck

Thank you! Yeah, it's a bunch of ########. My goal was to stay with the Ashley PNW until I moved to Eastern Pennsylvania, just so I could prove that I'm not the type of person that jumps from company to company. For Ashley, it seems like the house is on fire and I don't want to be stuck in it when the roof collapses.

Our resident job finder, Chinatown, will be along soon, fact is, he's probably compiling a list right now. A word of caution, Chinatown was an OTR driver, and a lot of his suggestions are OTR. Local stuff is always hit and miss, regional is your best bet and worked best for me.

I'm happy to work OTR, regional or dedicated lines, Dry van or reefer, traditional or heavy haul. I wouldn't mind tanker, but I'd need to get my endorsement first.
