the newest independent truck stop on I=40 Russell's Truck and travel center.
Great food, clean showers, and a classic car museum .

 

Exit 33, go back east on the service road.

They had a kitchen fire, but are back in business.

I'll stop in and buy your coffee if I'm home - right down the road.

 

Agreed - decent parking too, at all hours.

 

Shamrock, TX - Mitchell's restaurant, north side.

Cheap and you get free swag & parking.

 

There's a good retaurant next loves in Milan, Nm great food and prices.

 

Dixie Truck Stop Buffet is highly recommended. I-55 exit 145 in Illinois

Big Texan in Amarillo, TX is good and a great value. It has truck parking or they'll send a limo to pick you up from the truck stop

I-40 in Albuquerque, NM....well past it....all those Native American casinos with truck parking.

We ate at that casino on I-17 but it was blah

if you ever find yourself at the T/A in Ashland, va south of Richmond, (exit 89 on I-85) don't eat in the country pride. the menu food I guess I cant complain about but stay away from the buffet. they NEVER replace old nasty food with fresh. when you say something to the staff, they don't care at all. they'll tell you theyre gonna check it but that's all they'll do. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE FOOD!

 

Exit 208 on I 44 in Mo. North west corner Midwest Petroleum. Good fuel stop, very clean showers restaurant has great buffet or off of the menu. Repair shop does good work and there is lots of parking. get out closer to the xway or TV reception is bad, below the crest of the hill. There is a Blue Beacon there also. If you want you can get a beer with your meal.

No I am not one of there employes, I stay there twice a month and like and appreciate a nice place to stay.
