Which ELD are you using?

IVG Omnicrash...Omnitrash...Omnitracs.
Finally!

It does track Ifta, but it sometimes freezes (at least once a day) and restarts.
Started that on last update.

 

Omntracs, with land star. It is slow. But if I wait 30/40 seconds to change status after coming to a stop its ok. And I get cridet for that time. But got move really slow. I had to restart a ten hour break when I first started using it

 

I'm using Big Road, no problems with it. $19 per month, easy to set up and use.

 

Are you sure you have the IVG and not the XRS version, which is an app? The IVG device is in the image below.

I have seen mine restart while driving, but I have a feeling this is normal. Some updates are done wirelessly. I personally always keep my screen off while driving, so I don’t know if it has restarted many times on me. What I do know is that it is very rare for the IVG not to be available when I need to change status. As for freezing, it’s only happened once. I turned the battery switch off to force it to turn off.

 

Yep got the same box mounted on dash. I used to have XRS on tablet at Gulf States.

 

It’s just strange how we both have different experiences on the same device.

 

Mine was working good, it updated about a week ago while driving, sucked ever since.
I got loaded Friday, went to go flag loading, it froze, I got out got paoerwork used two straps, locked and sealed doors, got in truck it was still froze, called LS log to hear, “you gotta notify in writing of log malfunction” then it restarted so I said F it and hung up and it worked

 

Keep Truckin. It's worked flawlessly and is free.

 

I use JJ Keller, on my Samsung phone in a couple trucks, and on a fixed (verizon) tablet in my main ride.

SUPER easy to use, it has frozen on me a couple times. I'm probably due for another update.

 

Omnitracs IVG, been running it as an ELD since I started with them. No problems so far.
