We're in PA and haul to the South East generally. Looking for a good driver with a solid work ethic and good customer service skills.
Pay is well above industry standard.
PM if interested in more details.

I pulled for schneider on tanker side, I made alright, 49.5 cents per miles load or empty, mechanical the trucks are in good shape, check into shop at terminal when your on home time and it's ready for you when you leave out, I ran all 48 states, until a better tanker job came available closer to home, still gone during week but home weekends, I have nothing bad to say about them as a company, and their tanker training is a good program

I second not telling the company about where you want home time. Just ask if they run all 48 and if you can get out there once in a while. Once you do, park the truck and refuse loads until you're ready to drive. Trust me on this one. I asked to get back to Texas when I was in Cali... they sent me to Puyallup, WA. Then they sent me to Wyoming/Nebraska state line. Then they offered me a load picking up in Denver at our terminal and going to Oklahoma. I accepted it and when my load emptied I told them to dispatch it and I'd bobtail to Denver to pick it up. They were like "you need a trailer, the shipper requires it"...

Turns out they expected me to deadhead from Sidney, NE to Grand Junction, CO and pick up a 40,000lb load and carry it over serious snow covered grades, then tcall it at the terminal for a shuttle driver to carry. Bait and switch.

I told them, and I am quoting now "Go #### yourself."

This whole "don't tell the company where you want to take home time" thing really confuses me. So you never put in for home time? You just hope you end up near home and when you do you shut down and refuse loads for a few days? I find that odd and isn't making sense to me. Can someone clarify what I'm missing here?

Easy, they want you working, not on vacation. This is a job young lady, and having been out here for thirty years... I won't go there. Sorry... You may be well suited for Schneider as they hit every place you want to go. Navajo rarely makes it to Michigan. I'm sitting here in Plymouth MI at my kitchen table, and can tell you few trucks from out your way make it here. Normally you will be west of the Mississippi. Another outfit that may fit your bill is Prime out of Springfield MO. I personally think that would be a good fit for you. But, that is just me, as I worked there back in the early 1990's and they went everywhere you want to go.

I'm sorry. Who said anything about a vacation? That didn't clarify anything. I am not looking to "visit" any of those places. Trust me I've been to all of them. My point is that I am looking for a company that will allow me to take my home time in various locations since I don't have a"home" per se. I don't care where I run while I'm working. Just as long as I can take my home time where I want. So again. I don't understand why I wouldn't tell my company where I'm taking my home time when I put in a request for it? Also I would take that part out of the original post if I could because I have yet to talk to a company that says I can't take my home time where I want. As long as they run there, it seems nobody cares.

Werner has a ton of women, I think more than men actually. And even the men there, I use the term loosely. Prime has great training and also has what they call Highway Diamonds, which is the ladies.

And if you want to make more out of the gate, I would look into Jim Palmer. Amazing training and very nice trucks with mid-high starting pay. That's all reefer.
