Have you checked out prime? They have tankers and do train, but Tanker is only in certain areas. Don't know where.
There are other Tanker starters but I don't rember them all.
Who should I choose?

Search schneider job, and see if they have intermodal in your area. It's a regional thing so home every week. I was getting min. 2000 miles to 2500 a week.

I havent read where SRT has a problem with shortage of trainers. Since tankers is the goal, I'd jump on SRT to get the year in, then move to tankers. It's not an ideal situation, but it's a pathway to tankers in Louisana 12 month later.
Texarkana is closer to your home and the weather is better than Chicago area at Henderson this time of year.Thull Thanks this. -
Kinda sorta thought about doing regional tanker with them also, but I am 100 miles away from their terminal in Chattanooga so I didn't think it would be worth it for me unless it would really help getting a local fuel job or something. -

You could check out averitt or one of the ComCar family companies, both run mainly the southeast, home every week, automatics, and pretty good pay. the only thing I cant be sure is the miles.
