Yup , started on a '73 IH 4070 pulling a 42' reefer hauling frozen chicken out of Springdale , AR and boxed meat out of Greely , CO .
No a/c , no p/s , no fridge , video games or cell phones .
Why CSA 2010 and E-Logs are a good thing.

Back then-- 20, 30 years ago was the height of the crystal meth era. Drivers were taking this stuff so they could drive 24 hours on each of their many log books. Elogs are not here on the scene due to new drivers who cannot do math because they grew up with computers and calculators and never learned long division. Elogs are here because of the drivers from the past 20-30 years of cheating, doping and killing too many innocent 4 wheelers out there.
-
I'm not surprised somebody from California is n expert on crystal meth but doesn't know squat about the trucking industry .
The real reason for e-logs is incompetent safety departments that can't keep drivers from following dispatchers' instructions to violate HOS .Cowmobile, Mommas_money_maker and volvodriver01 Thank this. -
Yep, it's the safety departments fault that drivers are afraid of their dispatchers.
The reason for eLogs is simply that the technology is there, has been there, and is now starting to be used in a more widespread fashion. It's easier record keeping. -
This is hands down the stupidest post I have ever read on this site.
Unthanksvolvodriver01, Mommas_money_maker, freightlinerfever11 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Yet ANOTHER posts with NO FACTS
,,WHY you ask???
Conway Freight is NOT on ELOGS
,,NICE try NOOB try fact checking b4 you rant,
Now IF you had said Conway TRUCKLOAD well maybee you post would have been 1% correct -
While that was pretty stupid, it's by far not the stupidest thing I've read on here. Poke around, you'll see stupider stuff than anything posted in this thread. Which seems to be unraveling BTW.scottied67 Thanks this.

HaHa seems like alot of your posts are just to start something.
Read my post agian and tell me where it states CONWAY FREIGHT???
I knew I should have taken a picture just for you. I will remember next time.
-
Your reading into my posts too much for some reason. All I am pointing out is the fact that unnessesary things happen whether your running paper or the controlling not needed computer crap. They are not going to make the roads any safer... Until next time.
ECU51 Thanks this. -
WE(As in Conway TL) are dispatching the same as when we were on paper(nothing has changed),,im no machine, never have been treated like it,btw we are dispatch as always at 47 mph on all loads except the ones for Mother Conway, they are at 51 mph)
Your truckstop scenario is well just that ,,a scenario,i could tell umpteen different ways to avoid that as i do it everyday,,,
Its all about planning, cant explain it better than that,,almost one year on them never had the clock beat me,so IDK about you
I havent missed a meal(and im diabetic with no fridge in truck)
I wake up do a pretrip and leave,so im not on the same wavelength of you(I waste my time on here for a few hrs b4 i go to sleep)
I never had to layoveranother day to make it home legally(CWTL goood about getting me home I guess, like tommorrow, planned on 2 loads to the house, back to back
Yes i am dispatch per the computer ,as in the way the load is set up,see we get a "Planed Load Summary" prior to load,we have to ascertain if we can do the load(As in use the frontal lobe to make sure we can do it per the load plan),but if we have a unforseen problem with it my Fleet Mgr" can change things with planner,,(again with the Planning, huh?),,once we "commit"to load we are assigned to it
Nothing is automatic, but lets see Ive been on my 10 hr break for 3 hrs,now i need to go to sleep the other 7 off(hmmmm just like you),,
,yeah I know what you are saying i cant sleep 10 straight myself
