Drivers like their privacy.During the day I see no problem with it but at night the respectful thing to do is park where the bobtails park.
they do that because their isn't anything at their terminal my company is next door to Loves, but there isn't anything there, not that there is anything at the Loves either
I do park like that to keep the non English speaking jackwads like the one that hit my hood with the middle marker light on his trailer the other day in Madison Wi at the T/A. It also helps keep the non backing mega fleet newbee from tearing the hood off . I would rather see a bobtail parked in a proper spot than parking like the idiots I see every day in the truck stop !
It's irritating, no doubt, but far less irritating than guys who park creatively long before the lot is full.
I try to park behind another bobtail or 4wheelers spot. But sometimes I have to take a big truck spot and afraid to be woken up to slash tires
I try to avoid this at all costs but sometimes it is simply unavoidable. Last time I was home I bobtailed and parked in the 'car' parking lot which of course the wheelbase required two spaces. On the plus side, I didn't have to drive my 4-wheeler into the truck lot and risk becoming low-speed road kill while unloading my stuff.
