I have flatbed and rates became same as dry Van at this time. I'm about of getting my second trailer (dry Van) because of this. I like working on flatbed, but not for the same rate as dry vans, especially with tarping/straping/responsibilities etc.
Why do you keep pulling for cheap rates???!!!

Van is bad. Go to reefer.
Opus, whoopNride, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
I wish, but can't drive in the nights at all. Like between 1am-5am I'm falling asleep like a baby. I'm afraid I won't be able to work all those night appointments.
Rideandrepair and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I always liked reefers because they can be beautified so nicely with lights and shinny rims. The switch panels show the degree of complexity of the devices besides they haul precious food and nobody ....I mean nobody will snub at reefers the same way they do at dry vans. I am sure that some will disagree but I don't believe them and I am sure they don't mean it.
whoopNride, Farmerbob1, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
Most of us here can't walk on water, but I suspect that the sarcasm in this thread is strong enough to drive a truck over it.

I forgot what language sarcasm is but wowzers, he got a whopping 2.30 a mile on 3,000 miles AND with his own authority. Tight! Tight! Tight! Blue, yellow, pink, whatever man, just keep booking that 2 dollar per mile freight.

Here's what you're up against though. Here's some dude, somebody gave him a brand new $160K truck, and look how far out this guy is sticking in the parking lot.
Not a clue, nor a care in the world.
Farmerbob1, whoopNride and JonJon78 Thank this. -
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
