Wow so it seems the number one reason is their governed speed.

That's crazy that people have become so annoyed by a company just because they are going a bit slower than they would like to be traveling. Shame on them for trying to save fuel.

    Bad Prime.... Bad........

Company driver govern at 62 all you people talking and really don't know what you talking about and I average 8.6-9.7 mpg hauling 48,000 when empty I average 11.5-13.0 mpg all depends where I'm at

when a trk is governed at a slow speed like prime doesn't mean he's averaging that
Someone said prime is 58 unless on flat land he's probably averaging 45 to 50 mph.a person with a 65 even 60mph truck and going to the same place would probably make it there a half hr to an hr sooner.there's such a thing as too slow for the interstate.

I don't use my energy to hate. Prime is just another Mega contributing to the decline of the trucking industry.

You would think with the arrival of cheap fuel that a 75mph governor would pay for itself now with increased freight moved quicker.

Have you been near an oversize load on the interstate and see the line of traffic behind it? Same effect what prime is doing.

Let's take this to the real world level. It's not what they are govern at but more what they are causing.

    I44 OK. Speed limited 75mph. 2 lanes.

I see prime trailer up ahead and I know I'm going to have to switch lanes, but 4 wheelers are going faster than me. Don't want to switch over too early because they would just start passing me on my right side, which just cause more hazard.

As I start gaining on prime, I'm checking my mirrors to find a gap in the 4 wheeler. With them doing 75+ it's kinda hard. Looking again and see miles of 4wheelers behind me gives me no hope. Truckers who see this and can do 70+ are jumping in the hammer lane since they are able to keep up with the 4wheelers.

Now I'm going to have to slow down because jumping in front of a truck doing 75 is suicide. Other trucks who are govern are doing the same behind me. Now there's is longggggg backup with trucks waiting for the flow of 4 wheelers to go by so they can jump over.

Now here's the catch, once the flow stop, the truck quarter mile behind is going to jump in first. And then the guy in front of him, and so on. Now I gotta wait again and hopefully there isn't another flow of 75+ coming.
