Why does unloading with reefers take so long?

    I remember when i first started the driver got 20 cents per hundred to unload. $80 - $100 was the normal for lumpers you got off the street by the entrance.

    LaBatt in San Antonio is horrible. 8 hours to unload dry van and rejected some product. Reason for rejection was the forklift driver punched the forks thru the product. I will never take a load there.
