S' all true LTT...... just don't take it personal because it's not. It's the cost associated with dealing with you and minimizing those costs, especially a driver. To even properly consider you they have to pull paid reports like DMV, DAC, PSP etc to see what they are buying.

Once an applicant is disqualified, it's not over , someone has to make notes as to why and the application has to be kept for a minimal amount of time. Then the application and other documents have to be destroyed so they don't get loose.

I'm not making excuses either. I feel like you do and in today's word an email takes just a moment but it is the way it is.

Sad that the job market has come to this type of rejection but seems to be the standard across most industries now days.

Have you ever spoke to a real person within the company? Try getting a main number for the company and call to make sure that they are in fact a real company and not a craigslist scammer pfishing for personal info (really REALLY popular scam going on right now). A side note, I would never EVER send anything more to a prospective employer till I actually speak to a real live person at the company.

If you can get through to a live human being at a number listed on a site like Manta then ask for the HR department and verify that they have in fact received your application. Then you can either pester the person or sit back and wait. When I worked on the management side of a company in Wisconsin we would never respond to e-mail inquiries. If the person couldn't make the effort to call then we didn't call. The ones who actually went to the trouble to find the shop and show up in person had a much better chance of getting a job even if they had a few more blemishes than someone who calls on an add.

Consider yourself lucky. Why would you want to work for them anyway if they treated you like this in the hiring process? Sure doubt it would get better once your in the truck. Move on and consider it a blessing in disguise.

I have always thought highly of this company, when I was starting out, I would talk to there drivers, They are in KC K and have just expanded their hiring area to where I am, I have had communications with the person, but she has since just shut me off, I am in disbelief that this company would really do this, I think there is something else up, Like there is a personnel change or something like that. But Thanks for the responses, I'm sorry to hear this is the way things have gotten.

Yeah - that's BS mate. Maybe I'm too polite , but I always return communications, and expect the same. Unanswered comms always weigh on my mind.

You'd think it would be easier to give you a straight answer than to have the phone ringing multiple times. The truth only hurts once.

To add to this: Many large size companies are looking for the most gullible, henpecked, financially indebted, push over- yassa boss sah types. If you have more than 3-4 jobs in a 2-3 year period, you are a red flag (a positive in my book of rules) but negative in these corporate conglomerate Wal Mart policy type trucking companies. They could care less if you were OTR, out 3-4wks on end, .23cpm and averaging 1700miles per week equaling to a grand $391 per week before TAX, with your last 4-5 companies; The trucking CEOs motto "YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED THERE 1-3 YEARS, to show us stability. America is a wreck with policies such as this; Yet certain illegals can flood over here, get a job in most warehouses anywhere USA, to save these same CEOs money.
As d60-14 stated Chicago (and New Jersey) are full of smaller companies that will hire you. Aim High

The other reality of not returning or answering the calls of drivers they have decided not to hire is liability. If the hiring manager happens to say something about why they chose not to hire you that is unlawful they could open up the company for a potential lawsuit. It is a sad reality that in today's world no one will be straight with you on why you were not hired so you can maybe fix the problem. I worked as a safety manager and hiring manager for a larger company and was instructed not to talk to the denied candidates, I think it is bull crap but it is very common today. Good luck in you job search.
