I'm with you bud, I've only been round the block a few times and it's all very believable. I talked with a young guy one night across 80 that reflected a lot of what is posted here. Thanks veyr much Lucky6.HotH2o Thanks this.

OK, let me just say I understand that drivers do amazing things trucks. I own a Freightliner, that's a truck. My mini-condo. I guess what I don't understand is why anyone would remain in a situation like that described by the OP. I had a bad experience with a "mentor," (wrong word for this guy) but not like that. At any rate, sorry for not being more precise in my phrasing.

Back when I was with CRE I had a student get into the intermodal fleet out of the Mira Loma yard about two years ago. He was making good money for about a year and a half but then they flooded that fleet with green horn company drivers. He went from $1200 gross a week down to about $650. I heard the Coke dedicated drivers had the same problem.
The green line fleet does okay. They drive those new red Pete's. I had a student get into that fleet and does a So Cal to Seattle run and grosses about $1250 a week and home two days a week. -
I remember when I first started working at CRE back in 2008 there was a tech at the SLC yard who said he cleaned out all the returned L/O and company trucks. He had all kinds of CB's, refrigerators and anything else you could think of that drivers left behind in their truck. He had a galaxy CB for $30 but I was to broke to purchase it then.
When my daughter had open heart surgery a couple of years ago I had a R&R driver take over my truck for a month. I was a 96XXX back then so he basically helped me break even on my settlements. He said he usually could make the owner money if their truck was a 96XXX or 95XXX but the miles during that time of year where below average.
When I got my tractor back though he returned it with my driver side door broken. He said he locked himself out of the truck at a Pilot fuel island and had to use a coat hanger to get it back open. I could not open that door from the inside or out. The mechanics in Mira Loma could not fix it either so they sent it over to the Freightliner. The R&R driver also spilled a 64oz coke all over my passenger seat which was annoying since he did not even attempt to clean it up. -
God bless - hope she is OK.

That was irony posted on a thread about leasing nightmares. You are the first person to take it literaly

Ahhh - OK sure....almost every single one of your posts have that same undertone. I don't care really, but if CRE has to send people on TTR to cheer them on, it's pretty sad; and speaks much about the overall working environment at CRE.

I have been accused of being a secret agent for England because my experience doesn't involve failure and complaints.
I have also been accused of flooding the site with posts - been here one year and have 18 posts.
I see a lot of paranoia and drama here. There would be less nonsense if people read more carefully and and considered weather they know what they are talking about before posting - wouldn't you agree?
