I have to ask. Where are the news stories to corroborate what you state? I have yet to hear about any. That would be leading news on CNN 24 hrs a day until a new law was passed.

Here's a current article related to methane leaks...

You can find any number of articles complaining about ground water contamination after fracking has occurred. In fairness... it's the land owners with a house nearby complaining, and as many articles written by oil companies or their operatives debunking that and extolling the safety of the fracking process. One can guess that if your well is contaminated, that all the assurances of the companies involved in fracking aren't going to convince you that it didn't happen. However, the EPA is looking into it...

This is all recent, and a little inquisitivity and a few moments at Google revealed all of this. These studies didn't just jump up and have life breathed into them last night... but are in response to many complaints over the years.

I would think the pressurized tanks for natural gas would be more dangerous when an accident occurs, & be more likely to cause an explosion.

And I firmly believe that fracking is causing many people to have bad water. Like the one on TV recently hold a match to their faucet them open it, & you have a big blaze!

Yet in the end the money people will win & fill up their & their congressmen's pockets..

I was a school bus mechanic in the early 70's when the Arab oil embargo caused the price of gasoline to spike up to 75 cents.
We switched the entire fleet to propane. Lost about 10% on power, and 10% on mileage. Clean fuel? Carbon monoxide emissions went down to zero, but unburned hydrocarbons went way up. (This was BEFORE catalyst converters)
Propane is the perfect fuel... For cooking!
