they've BEEN BUYING new trailers. a TON of them. Last time i was up in Inver Grove, they had at leasat 60-90 brand new trls. after looking at them, they all had seals on them that obviously came from the same place. and they were all parked nose to tail. High value loads maybe?? i dunno...but i do know that Swift raising $800mil isnt to be buying new trailers....maybe a couple of that will go for it, but most of that will go for paying down debt.

You still need to do a macro 22 ...it will get you off the hook for being late.

That's what happened to me. No empty trailer to take to the shipper and swap out. DickJones, I was ranting due to the above-- trying to get home for Christmas- load would have taken me within 300 miles of home, now here I sit due to no empty trailers 2000 miles from home. The catty comment (You'll have to sit and wait) by the window person in the terminal may have set me off too. Plus I hate sitting in terminals because there is no food here(aside from twinkies vending machine), went for a walk about 12 miles this morning- no restaurants, no stores around here it sucks.

ouch man, that really stinks, I sent them a 0 saying void my preplan, maybe that will get something rolling, not sure how it all works but crap, if there is no equipment near for the load, fine, take it completely off me, and leave me open for a load my trailer will work for.

And I hope you get home for christmas, I requested it to, but I have a bad feeling.

You should tell Mrs. Obama to get right on that one, since she's so "health" conscious for the rest of us. LOL

Seriously, I feel for you drivers, it's not always easy to eat healthy with the somewhat limited access you have.

no MTs? then ask for directions, silly rabbit. and i'd hate to say it, but even if you were 300 miles from home, they wouldn't let you deadhead that far, i'm guessin'. And if you decided to just take the load thru home for the holiday, they'd nail ya for being out of route. having a few foul balls early in your career, still goes against ya in the eyes of your DM and planners....

but i'll pass along the nickels worth of advice i got on this board a little while back........i dont think you're going to make it. ;-)
