Yeah, the title got you attention didn't it.
Friday I was heading back to Denver from Glendive, Mt. Coming fown Wyo. 59 from the Mt. border I see something standing in the road a couple miles ahead of me. Let off the throttle and cancelled the cruise control (my cruise runs 65 my throttle runs 75) to start slowing. As I get closer, I realize it's an antelope, he's standing in the NB lanes watching me.
I lay on the air horn to get him to move, nope, he just stand there. Then he turns around and walks, not hop, jump, leap, or run, but friggin' walks in to my lane and turns his head to start at me.
So by now I'm 1/4 mile from him and coasting, jakes on mid, lay on the air horn a couple more times, he just stands there and stares at me, like he's daring me to hit him.
Finally, when I'm about 100 yds from him, he slowly walks, not hop, jump, leap, but friggin' walks off to the shoulder of the road, like he's out for a Sunday ########## stroll in the country and the comes to stop and watches me go by. The only thing missing was for him to lift his hoof and flip me off. I hit the horns probably 5 times, the look he gave me as I went by was like "how dare you disturb the peace and quiet with your noisy horns".
I swear that sucker was daring me to hit him.
