Looks like you have more room than I do, and all I pull is reefer. With trailer hooked I have exactly 17 inches from back of sleeper to front of refer.

    Edit: I pull Wabash trailers

Your 5th wheel is too far up.

When you hook onto the 5th wheel, the general idea is that the forward wall of the trailer is up and down equal to roughly the very front of the drive tires. If you climbed on top and looked straight down the front wall vertically you will very barely see anything from your front drive tires between the pavement and the 5th wheel plate.

You must without fail carefully check an recheck your clearances between reefer unit and your headache rack. THEN if it has not been mentioned already come off I-70 in Denver into any of the north side industry area with sharp crowns to cross side streets etc. And see how you do with the VERTICAL CLEARANCE of your Reefer's front doors top to bottom against your Headache rack.

Another reason not to have that 5th wheel out of position too far is that you can pinch your drives with the trailer and there you are stuck. In need of a tow. To risk getting out will imply a potential for thousands upon thousands in damage from tearing your rears out.

You can almost set the trailer lower front lip of the 5th wheel plate against the frame rails, catwalk area. (More than likely the top front roof line and reefer unit box will do more damage up top of your headache rack and exhaust, qualcomm etc.)

IF you are going to do this reefer thing, take that whole Headache rack off. Store the thing at home or something. You will need room for the tare weight of that reefer and you probably will need to head space between tractor and trailer.

Finally but not last. If at all possible remove the human handles from your catwalk area. One of the biggest problems I have ever dealt with in my younger years is people getting up onto my catwalk with intent to pull the red line and it's glad hand. This would be in NYC downtown at night very common. How did I fix that? Two ways, first removed the handle bars from the cat walk region of my cab. You are not going to be grabbing nothing as I go by at 30. And second if a human did get up there... a promp very heavy J turn at about 32 (Never anymore than that) at the next intersection took care of that parasite on my catwalk. Usually a barrage of really profane words or screams of pain etc is enough to tell me that he or she is fine. Bellevue isnt that far down the road. Usually midtown west. IF someone else does not scoop them up first.

Fortunately for the most part that problem became relatively non existance much later on.
