I was like that when I had bills to pay and debt to manage but when I went to no debt and minimal bills there is literally nothing to worry about so I will get there whenever I get there. Working with a great company is also a big plus for this issue.

    I'm immune from it.

I don't jump through hoops for a paycheck.
    I don't stress about schedules.
I don't worry about pleasing people.

All I do is run my loads in the time that I can run them safely.
And that means safely in my own time frame.

12 hours (minimum) between shutting down and driving.
If I need to do laundry or get a shower, it is added to the time - not included in it.
I shut down for bad weather conditions.
    No overnight driving.

I've been at this for 12 years, and it has not changed during that time.
I have my own rules on how I run my loads, so my stress level is low.

    My rule is simple.

Work as fast & efficiently as saftey allows, everything else is the companys problem.

As long as I do my part I've learned to let the rest go.

I read a “Reader’s Digest” article when I was young and it was about how most people rush through life trying to get to what is next, but never taking the time to try and appreciate the moment.

    One can see that everywhere.

A while back, I think I counted 18 drivers that I once knew that are now dead and a few more that are not good.

I have been told of a truck driver and a logger that were both killed in an accident on their last day of work before retirement.

Our days are numbered. We have an appointment with our Creator. No sense trying to beat out others. He won’t forget.

Alabama: “I am in a hurry and I don’t know why.”
