Keep on driving, find a good windshield guy, one in town I love that’ll do it for the cost of glass and $25-50 bucks depending if it’s goth that computerized junk on windshield

I’ve kept chips and cracks from spreading by something as cheap and simple as fill the area with super glue on both sides and cover it with a piece of clear packing tape on inside. Most time vibration at the injury causes the spread. The glue and tape help stop that. As long as its not in line of sight you are ok. Windshield cracks are warnings anyway. Unless you deal with the same dot man or scale house on a regular basis They can’t prove it didn't just happen on a random road side harassment.

Usually they won’t spread. The one time I had a chip spread into a crack on a car windshield it happened very quickly, like on the way home after it happened.
