There’s a button on Google Maps where you can toggle on ‘traffic’ as an overlay. It’s very useful for spotting traffic issues, I keep it on all the time.

 

Yeah actually you are, now you know what it is to be layed over due to weather that is out of your control... This happens all the time in OTR trucking...And you just have to shut down for your safety and the safety of the public... The best companies pay you for this type of layover, especially when they planned you a week in advance..they knew what the weather was even before you received the dispatch... At this point just embrace the experience and make the best of it!

Minus 16 right now at half past midnight and it should get down to around -24.
Warming up a bit with a high of -2 later today.

Got it, I doubt my company will compensate me for that, well it's here, I've never seen that much ice before, it's caked in my mirror, it's crazy!!

 

Your dispatcher is a moron.. typical dispatch activities... If nobody can get to work because of the storms then the plant will be closed.. happens all the time.
Dispatch doesnt know if a plant is gonna be open or not. They lie straight to your face. Give your delivery contact a call and get it straight from the horses mouth.

 

What is Freightguard? Like a carrier review site for brokers?
